Rights to Reality Project

This is a form to sign up for a Rights to Reality information session.

The 'Rights to Reality' project is helping disabled young people understand their rights. It is doing this with information sessions designed for and by disabled young people. The information sessions are happening in Melbourne and online.

Information session

This information session is 4 hours long. 

It has breaks and activities you can take part in. 

It is free. You do not have to pay to attend.

It will happen on Zoom. You will need to click the link you are sent to join.

After you sign up, we will send a link and other information to join.

You can attend from home or wherever you have internet and phone, computer or tablet.

If you sign up and attend, you will get to:

  • Learn about what your human rights are, why they are important, and what laws help to protect them

  • Find out if your rights are being respected and if the law is being followed

  • Practice getting ready to advocate or speak up for yourself

  • Discuss what successful advocacy looks like with other disabled young people

  • … and much more!

This information session is for  disabled young people aged 12 to 25 years old who live, work or study in the City of Melbourne , Victoria and identify as:

  • Being disabled, having a disability, health condition, or chronic illness

  • Neurodivergent or autistic 

  • Deaf, deaf or hard of hearing 

  • Blind or vision impaired 

  • Having lived experience of mental illness or mental health issues. 

The form closes at 5pm on Tuesday 28th January 2025.  You must sign up by then.
